A new baby! What a wonderful time in your lives! Thank you for considering us to capture your newborn’s first portraits. We look forward to working with you and your family to create a beautiful collection of images from this very special chapter in time. With backgrounds as labor & delivery nurses, we are experienced and comfortable with safely handling your tiny new bundle.

The best point to schedule a newborn session is within the first 1-3 weeks of life when infants are sleepy and easily posed*. We understand the needs of you and your newborn – frequent feedings, changing and cuddling breaks are all factored into our newborn sessions. Our style focuses on the natural beauty of your child, many photos are done with the baby naked/gently wrapped or simply diapered. Be assured, our studio space is warm and additional heaters are running to keep your baby toasty while we work with them. Our studio is comfy for parents as well with a lounge area adjacent to our shooting space. 

Our studio sessions come with access to all of our props and accessories (backdrops, hats, headbands, wraps, etc).  Based on the details/color preferences we will have discussed with you prior to your appointment, we will “style” your session so that everything is ready for your arrival. From there we’ll add your personal touches, so feel free to bring along any special items (hospital crib card, small stuffed animals, handmade or monogrammed blankets, hats) you’d like to incorporate into the pictures. If you choose to have us come to your home for the session, we focus on “lifestyle” photos that capture your family in the comfort of your familiar surroundings. We come with a small “portable studio” setup and a select number of props for newborn portraits. Please note a flat $50 fee is applied to home visits with an additional fee for locations further than 10 miles from our studio address.

A newborn portrait session is a celebration for your family, so we always offer family & sibling pictures as part of the session at no extra cost. Parents – you’ll be glad you got into a few photos despite how exhausted you might be feeling. Your children will look back on these photos one day and see their amazing, strong, and loving parents…what a gift to be able to give them!

Inquire about our optional "Breastfeeding Mini" within your Newborn Session. Stylish and memorable, these special portraits capture the sweet but fleeting early days of the mother/child bond. Bring your own attire or borrow a studio gown.

* Every newborn session is unique, we photograph babies according to the poses and props that they will tolerate. Every effort is made to keep newborns warm, content and above all else, safe. Please understand we may not be able to attempt or obtain specific photos you have in mind, we will work with you and your baby to produce the most beautiful images possible.  In order to create those sweet, curled up poses, we must take the time to ensure our newborns are calm, comfortable and safe. Please note our newborn sessions last a solid 2-3 hours. We ask that you review this time commitment with all members of your party.
