In this section, you will get a detailed idea of what you can expect from Nutmeg Photography LLC before, during and after your special day. Choosing a wedding photographer is an important one. The regret of booking a photographer with little or no wedding experience may leave you with poor quality photos and once-in-a-lifetime moments forever lost. With Nutmeg Photography LLC, you’ll have the confidence in knowing that your wonderful milestone will be documented with the care and attention to detail that such an event deserves. Our goal is to tell your unique story in pictures, capturing the emotion and beauty of your day with a timeless elegance you will fall in love with over and over again.
Our Wedding package starts at $3500.00 (sales tax is additional) and are quoted from there, according to the details of your event. Travel requirements, number of venues to cover and any add-on items (such as albums or print packages) will determine your price. Your quoted investment will include full-day (8-10 hours) coverage with 2 photographers, any necessary travel/accommodations for us, our creative time, all final images in high-resolution on a USB drive and a print release. Hard-copy print or canvas packages and bridal/parent albums may be added into your package at the time of booking for a discount off the stand-alone prices. Consider booking your Engagement photo session as a bundle along with your Wedding package for a $100 savings. As with all Nutmeg services, we accept cash, check or credit. Payment plans are available, please inquire.
A non-refundable 50% deposit (half of your total quoted price) will be due in order to reserve your wedding date. You will receive a Wedding Welcome Package in the mail with your Wedding Photography Agreement (aka “Contract”) and all the information you’ll need to plan this piece of your wedding. We will contact you to set up a consultation appointment at our studio location so we can discuss the details and be sure all of your photography needs are addressed. Your remaining balance will be due no later than 14 days prior to your event.
A Glimpse into our Wedding Day Photography
You will always have 2 photographers covering your wedding. We feel 1 is insufficient to catch all the important moments going on during the day, so no discounts are available for booking “just one of us”. Before the wedding, one photographer arrives at the Bride and Bridemaid’s “getting ready” location for all the hair, makeup and “first look” photos. The other photographer goes to where the Groom & Groomsmen are preparing. We allow ourselves plenty of time to catch a mix of candid and posed shots of both sides of the bridal party. You’ll find we are fun and easy-going, but we also help keep you organized and on-track since time flies!
We’ll head to the church or ceremony location and candidly photograph your loved ones arriving and greeting one another. Many angles of your ceremony are covered with 2 of us strategically positioning ourselves to catch the special moments. Please know that restrictions imposed on us by the venue management (such as off-limits areas or “no flash photography” rules) may limit our ability to photograph everything adequately. Please speak with your clergy or site directors to find out about such restrictions. Should your event venue require proof of our insurance prior to the wedding, we will be happy to provide you with that information upon request.
We will cover your grand exit at the conclusion of the ceremony. The reception’s cocktail hour is traditionally when the “formal” posed family photographs are taken. Please build in at least one hour dedicated strictly to this photography time. This hour should not include your travel time between the church and reception. Once the reception gets going, we cover it all – introductions, first dances, toasts & speeches, guests dancing, bouquet and/or garter tosses, cake cutting and any other points we discussed at our consultation. You will receive plenty of candid guest and bridal party photos as well as detail shots of your cake, rings, flowers, favors & centerpieces.
After the Wedding
When the wedding is over, hand-editing & retouching of your many photos begins. In approximately 4-6 weeks, we’ll meet for your post-wedding consultation at our studio. You will view your photos and learn more about print and album design options. Our couples can expect to receive several hundred photos in their collection, be assured the emotions & details are all beautifully covered. You will receive a mix of candid, semi-candid and posed photographs of moments throughout your day. Some photos sing to us in black & white, so you will see a nice variety of those as well. Custom album production time depends on the size and style album you order, but turnaround time is about 8 weeks.
We offer superior archival-quality print products through our professional print house and custom album vendor. You will have invested in professional photographs that will hang as heirloom pieces of art in your home.
